Terrazil eco-community, the overall planning of 72 hectares
Feasibility study and sketch design carried out on site in the nomadic architect format, for the Terrazil agricultural association, in Le Mas-d’Azil. Study carried out in 2022.
01 — The brief
Client: the Terrazil agricultural association, on a 72-hectare site in Le Mas-d’Azil. The group brings together ten partners and many children; the eco-community is at once a family and cooperative place to live, a centre for hosting and passing on knowledge, and a ground for agricultural experimentation.
02 — The response
The studio was first commissioned to produce a graphic presentation for a STECAL application, in order to allow lightweight housing. The study took the form of an overall site planning commission.
03 — In short
It made it possible to integrate all the existing buildings to be renovated and to take into account the future need for other buildings.
04 — Expertise
This project belongs to one field of the studio’s expertise: participatory housing and eco-communities.
