Terre à l’œuvre, an agricultural eco-community approved by all the partners
Feasibility study and sketch design for the overall planning of a 70-hectare agricultural eco-community in Caudeval, for SAS Terre à l’œuvre. Study carried out in 2022.

01 — The brief
Client: SAS Terre à l’œuvre, on a 70-hectare site in Caudeval. The group has eight partners, including a livestock farmer, a miller-baker, a market gardener, a dancer, a ceramicist and a painter.
02 — The response
A first visit before the purchase was an opportunity to discover the site; the studio was commissioned six months later for the overall planning study. The group met every morning for two hours to take stock: the challenge was to find suitable and financially realistic solutions so that each partner could find their place in the project.
03 — In short
The commission resulted in an overall scheme approved by all the partners. The drawings allowed everyone to reach agreement and to project themselves into a shared vision.
04 — Expertise
This project belongs to one field of the studio’s expertise: participatory housing and eco-communities.
